Instructional Content: Module 5 - Value First Outreach

Welcome to the execution guide for Module 5! If the slides mapped your peer-to-peer strategy, this is your launchpad to send those first outreaches. We'll focus on turning your Module 4 value props into warm, human conversations—direct to decision-makers where possible, or polite intros via gatekeepers. Remember the rules: Propose only to authority (full intro + align + prop + CTA); to gatekeepers (like info@), align only and request a handoff. This keeps your messages from the trash folder.

Aim for 45-60 minutes: 10 min prepping targets, 20 min drafting/sending 3-5 outreaches (mix channels), 15 min logging in your workbook. By the end, you'll have a tracked sequence live, targeting 20% response rate. We'll use the South Carolina financial literacy nonprofit's bank outreach as an example—adapt to your props.

Pro Tip: Personalize everything with Module 3 intel (name, priority). Send mid-week (Tue-Thu) for best opens. Track in the workbook's new "Outreach Tracker" tab (add columns: Target, Channel, Sent Date, Response).

Step 1: Prep Your Targets & Channels

  • Review your top 3-5 Roadmap Profiles (Module 3): Flag "Direct" (has decision-maker contact) vs. "Gatekeeper" (use info@ for intro).
  • For each, pull your Value Prop Builder entry (Module 4): Hook phrase, benefits, CTA.
  • Choose Channels: Email (direct power), LinkedIn (warm build), Phone (rapport boost). Start with 1-2 per target.
  • Batch: Send 3 today (e.g., 1 email, 1 LI, 1 phone).

Time: 10 minutes.

Example Prep (Financial Literacy Nonprofit): Target: Community Bank (Direct: Sarah, CSR Director). Prop: "Join workshop for 10-min slot + audience access." Channel: Email (primary).

Step 2: Craft & Send Using Templates

Use these plug-and-play templates—swap in [brackets] with your details. Keep tones collaborative: Warm, concise, mission-aligned. For Direct: Full formula (Intro + Align + Prop + CTA). For Gatekeeper: Intro + Align + Request Intro (no prop).

Template 1: Email Outreach (For Direct Decision-Makers Only) Purpose: Full prop in one go—scannable, benefit-focused. Subject: Hook with shared value.

Subject: [Personalized Hook, e.g., "Collaborating on Community Financial Stability at [Bank]"]

Hi [Decision-Maker Name, e.g., Sarah],

I'm [Your Name], founder of [Your Org, e.g., SC Financial Empowerment]. We [brief mission, e.g., "empower financially challenged families in SC through weekly literacy workshops"], and I'm impressed by [Company's] [specific priority from research, e.g., "commitment to local economic growth via community initiatives"]. Our work aligns perfectly—we both aim to build lasting stability for underserved folks.

I'd love to invite you to partner on our next workshop (200+ attendees): A quick 10-15 min slot for your team to share banking expertise, plus direct access to participants ready for accounts. It's a low-lift way to amplify your community impact while enhancing our sessions.

Open to a 15-min call next week to explore? Reply or grab time here: [Your Calendly/Booking Link].

Best,
[Your Name]

[Your Org]
[Phone] | [Email] | [Org Website/LinkedIn]

When to Use: Direct email from Module 3 (e.g., [email protected]). Send 1-2/week per target.

Example (Financial Literacy): Subject: "Quick Win: Boosting Local Accounts Through Our Workshops" → Full prop on guest slot.

Pro Tip: BCC yourself; follow up in 7 days if no reply (e.g., "Circling back on our shared community goals...").

Template 2: LinkedIn Outreach (For Direct or Warm Leads)

Purpose: Phased—build rapport before proposing. Limit: 300 chars for connect; 2,000 for message.

Part 1: Connection Request (Intro + Align Only—Send First) Hi [Name], I'm [Your Name] with [Org]. Love [Company's] [priority nod, e.g., "focus on community banking"]—it aligns with our [mission snippet, e.g., "financial empowerment for SC families"]. Let's connect to explore shared impact?

Part 2: Follow-Up Message (If Accepted—Full Prop + CTA, 1-2 Days Later) Thanks for connecting, [Name]! Quick recap: As founder of [Org], we [brief mission + align, e.g., "run workshops for 200+ families, mirroring your local growth goals"].

Here's a tailored idea: Join our upcoming session with a 10-min slot to share insights—direct access to engaged participants for account opens, boosting your community presence. Win-win for financial health all around.

Worth chatting 15 min? Here's my calendar: [Link]. Excited to collaborate!

[Your Name] | [Org Link]

When to Use: LinkedIn profile from Module 3. If no accept in 7 days, nudge: "Gentle follow-up—still aligned on [priority]?" (No prop).

Example (Financial Literacy): Connect: "Love [Bank's] outreach—aligns with our family workshops." Follow-Up: Prop on co-lead slot.

Pro Tip: Add a shared connection if possible; engage their posts first for warmth.

Template 3: Phone Call Script (For Direct Contacts—Live or Voicemail)

Purpose: Voice for urgency/rapport—keep under 60 sec. Practice 2-3x aloud.

Live Call Opener (30-60 Seconds): "Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Org]—do you have a quick minute? [Pause for yes.] Great! I'm the founder, and we [brief mission, e.g., 'empower SC families via financial literacy workshops']. I'm reaching out because I admire [Company's] [priority, e.g., 'community engagement efforts']—it's spot-on with our shared focus on economic stability.

To that end, we'd love to partner: Invite your team to a 10-min segment in our next workshop (200+ attendees) for direct audience access and co-education. It's a simple way to drive your local goals while strengthening our impact.

Does a 15-min follow-up call sound good next week? How's [suggest time, e.g., Thursday at 2 PM] for you?"

[If yes: "Awesome—I'll send a calendar invite. Thanks!"] [If no/voicemail: Pivot to next step.]

Voicemail Version (20-30 Seconds): "Hi [Name], [Your Name] from [Org] here—quick note on aligning our financial empowerment workshops with [Company's] community growth. Let's chat 15 min on a partnership idea. Call me at [Phone] or reply to my email. Thanks!"

When to Use: Phone from Module 3 (mid-morning, Tue-Thu). Follow email/LI if possible.

Example (Financial Literacy): "Admire [Bank's] initiatives... Workshop slot for your expertise?" → Booked meeting led to funding.

Pro Tip: Smile—energy transmits. If gatekeeper answers, pivot: "Could you connect me to your CSR lead?"

Template 4: Emailing [email protected] (For Gatekeeper Intros Only)

Purpose: Light touch—align + request handoff. No prop to avoid dismissal.

Subject: [Align-Focused, e.g., "Exploring Impact Partnership Alignment with [Company]"]

Hello [Company Team or "Partnerships Team"],

I'm [Your Name], founder of [Org]. We [brief mission, e.g., "deliver financial literacy to 200+ SC families weekly"], driving the kind of community stability that aligns with [Company's] [high-level priority, e.g., "reputation for local economic support"].

I'd value an introduction to the right person on your team who oversees impact partnerships—happy to share more on potential synergies.

Who should I connect with? Looking forward to your guidance.

Best,
[Your Name]
[Your Title] | [Org]
[Phone] | [Email] | [Org Website]

When to Use: No direct contact; as a one-off bridge. Follow up in 10 days if needed.

Example (Financial Literacy): "Aligns with [Bank's] outreach... Intro to CSR?" → Routed to Sarah, then full prop.

Pro Tip: Keep it under 100 words—respect their inbox.

Step 3: Launch Your Sequence & Track

  • Weekly Playbook: Day 1: Draft/send 3 (mix channels). Day 3: Phone follow-ups. Day 7: Nudges.
  • Track in Workbook (Outreach Tracker Tab):
  • Metrics: Aim for 10-20 outreaches → 2-3 meetings. Adjust: If emails flop, lean phone.

Time: 15 minutes to log/send first batch.

Step 4: Accelerate with Grok (Optional Polish)

Stuck on a draft? Use this prompt to refine.

Prompt Template: Outreach Message Generator

"Grok, craft a [channel, e.g., 'LinkedIn connection request'] for [Direct/Gatekeeper]. My org: [mission summary]. Target: [Name/Company], priority [e.g., 'community growth']. [If Direct: Prop: [hook phrase]]. Tone: Warm, collaborative. For Direct: Full intro/align/prop/CTA. For Gatekeeper: Intro/align/request intro only. Output: Full template with subject if email."

Example Output: [Polished email or script based on your input.]

Your Action Item: Hit Send & Momentum

  • Today: Prep 3 targets, send 1-2 outreaches (one Direct full prop, one Gatekeeper request). Log in workbook.
  • Track Wins: Celebrate replies—even intros count!
  • Milestone: First meeting booked? You're 70% to partnership.

Like the literacy nonprofit's multi-channel magic, your outreaches will spark real peer talks.
